The Rise and Fall of AOL

AOL survived only on the strength of its branding as America's online gateway. A new AOL executive named Bob Pittman said, quote, long lines are endemic at Disney World. Once they could actually take advantage of unlimited usage, members did so in ever-increasing numbers. The company was able to step forward once more and do some hand-holding for the online inexperienced.
