How to Combine Finances in a Relationship?
I refuse to counsel women on like, I'm going to fully combine my finances and I 100% disagree with that. Like you need some of your own separate money. With a 50% chance of divorce, it's just the smartest thing to do to protect yourself. Every marriage I've ever looked at where they didn't have combined finances, it wasn't a good marriage. And then there's also decision rights and who gets to make those choices? Are they unilateral decisions? Is there a certain dollar amount that if you're going to spend more than this, now you need to have a conversation about how you do it? There's a lot of nuance to it.
