The Problem With AI-Generated Output

The real test in these kind of circumstances are going to be whether it displaces the commercial use of the original. And so if in fact we're producing output that's too similar to an original work, we've got a problem. We don't want it to generate sort of copies of Harry Potter. That's not something copyright law would protect. But I think an interesting question there is should we blame the AI, which generates sort ofshould we blame the person who kind of specifically tries to get it to infringe copyright.
