Father Rooney suggested that there is the possibility that you could go to hell for being a universalist. He's operating under a fundamentally what I would call sort of apologetics mindset, which has inherent flaws. It doesn't allow somebody to fully empathize with other views and also subtly but crucially distorts the presentation of other views.
