The Origins of the Name Jehovah
In the Bible, whenever it spells out the holy name of God, they stopped punctuating it at some point. So what they would say is Hashem, typically, which means the name or they would replace it for Adonai. That's where we actually get the name Jehovah from because it's J-H-O, if you will, V-H or A-H.
