Muslims were involved on the Bernie campaign, not as theological Muslims. They were there as members of an important minority group that was marginalized. And I think that's why we have seen a growing number of Muslims becoming disillusioned with the Democratic Party and leaving it. According to at least one of the post-election exit polls in 2020, only about 10 to 15% of Muslims in 2016 supported Donald Trump,. It went as high as 35% in 2020.
