We experience the death of god as the loss of being able to orient my life toward the goal of some final reason why i was born, or some great task that once i have accomplishedment, have done what it is to have been human. That's just not the mahiona way. And so already, how we formulate the problem and what we want are part of the problem. How we even imagine what our options are and what's desirable, are themselves infected by some of the things that malyan is going to try to help us turn the corner on.
