The fallipoo study, the Oxford study that you mentioned uses the Burgess data and is highly misleading. The Stafford paper goes way back to 1988, and he has a lot of stuff that's not true today. And the beta story, your story that there would be these huge betas, you would have thought that the 2005 vintage, for example, 2006 vintage got hit by the global financial crisis. But in fact, those vintages, 060708 are about equal to the S&P 500.
