The Effects of Fast Eating on Weight

People that eat their food more quickly tend to be overweight. They also have a higher circulating LDL cholesterol level, which is our bad cholesterol. There's actually been lots of clinical trials where people are asked one day to eat their food really fast and another day to eat it slowly. You actually see significant differences in weight as well. So this could be anywhere between 100 to 200 calories. And what we know is that people that eating their food at a faster rate tend to consume a lot more calories at each meal.
