The Church's Decline of Tribes
For thousands of years all human societies, including in the West, were tribal. We were born into extended families and clans dominated by patriarchs. The power to choose one's partner, like acid, dissolve the invisible bonds that tie together large extended families. It effectively demolished the tribes. Joe Henrik has a radical idea about the consequences. He says it is the explosion of innovation that made the nations of Western Europe the most dominant on Earth - the industrial revolution.
