Are Narratives Fixed?
Africa has been in a tough spot for quite some time, but that doesn't mean it will always be. The Chinese example is very instructive to think that that narrative is fixed. We seem to be locked into this kind of narrative and are in a defensive pose around it. A lot of the narrative driving is done by some pretty unsavory characters who are exploiting the system. So I struggle with how should we think about ourselves?
