You Don't Want the Court to Be Seemed as Political
The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to hear a case in november that will decide the fate of former Justice Antonin Scalia, who was appointed by President George W. Bush. In an interview with CNN's John Defterios, Sonia Sotomayor says she doesn't want the court to be seen as political. But how do you avoid politics when people are looking into it in such a political way? She tells students at stanford: "I say you get out there and participate... try and convince people"
