Is There a Cycle of Insomnia?

Cortisol should raise naturally in the morning, it's around its peak about 12 o'clock. You will have a natural dip about three o'clock - that kind of mid-afternoon slump is normal but shouldn't lay you out. Around six o'clock in the evening, then it will start to taper off and come down for sleep. For most people, one or two cups of low-acid organic coffee isn't going to be the end of the world.
