The Cap Theorem and Partition Tolerance

In an event source system, the primary difference is the order of events versus the order of facts. In a punctral cogan language, then you would basicly be doing a left fold over this sequence of events. Facts are partially ordered. Sometimes you can compare two facts and say, ok, this one came before that one. But sometimes you can take a look at them and say, well, i can't tell which one came. This partial order turns out to be a really strong feature of historical facts and something tha you can use in a distributeve system.
