The Potential for Disruption and Dislocation
There are lots of meaty issues here. misinformation, deepfakes, bias, explainability, hallucinations,. which have come up in the field. I think at a societal level, one of the things that folks like Sam Altman and OpenAI, but also others in the field are calling for is more serious debate and discussion about this. So my personal view is it's better to get started on that sooner than later.
