In the story, Alex put up a slide that Alex put up on the board and it was this map. It's like you trick people into putting the customer at the center, but it reveals clusters of where you have no business trying to competelike the musicians on Saturday night. A product-centric view would just say, well, it doesn't matter where we're on that map, as long as we sell lots of products. Whereas a job-centric view will force you to be more intentional about your strategy.
