How to Get Rid of a President?
The storming of the Capitol interrupted a procedure associated with counting electoral votes. The reason protesters or mob members wanted to interrupt this procedure is that it will have the effect of getting rid of President Trump, but they actually did succeed in stopping it. By our Constitution, he is the president until noon on January 20th. He has not yet been removed. But as we have seen, the damage a president can do in any given month, week, day, hour is grave. Congress must reconvene.
