Billy McNeil's Investigation of Rebecca's Murder

In 2002, two years before Rebecca's murder, he is a suspect and an aggravated sexual assault on a minor. He was interviewed in 2004, but police didn't consider him a viable suspect. Billy had also been arrested in 2010 for allegedly using his elbow to push his ex-wife after he forced his way into her Aransas past Texas home. In October 2020, about 10 months after McNeil started working the case, Billy flew home to see his mother Linda in Oregon. The detective put an alert on Billy's passport to be notified if he returned to the US.
