Living in a Monastery
The entrance into monastic life was very much about the search for peace as a kind of personal, interior experience that would facilitate this travelling to the heights of union with god. When they came together to form these communities, they found out that it wasn't so easy as they had thought. They discovered that they were living with other people whose wills and intellects weren't always innconformity to one another. Andt they came to see that a lot of the difficulties that entered into their lives came not from the mind and the will, or the intellect and the heart, but from emotions, how you feel. So many times this experience surfaced that they began to think about to ruminate
