The colosseum was a monument built for people to kill animals and other peop in. And it could only happen because rome was a slave society. The romans were slightly worried about the servile wars, the slave revolts in sicily. So with such a harsh life that slaves can have their ar instances,. as you would expect, of slaves revolting.
