Specialness Is a Problem

Movie "12 Dates of Christmas" Commentary by David Hoffmeister - Weekly Online Movie Workshop

The number one theme in the movie poll was trying to get it right versus relaxing into our true purpose this week. That's our problem. We've been trying to get it right in time and space and thinking we know what right is in time and space. That's a problem. How can you accept the correction for a problem if you think you already know what the problem is? And if you're sure it's a financial problem or an interpersonal relationship problem or that we have a pollution problem, a pandemic problem, or an overpopulation problem, fill in the blank. Any stressful situation is trying to define the problem in terms of form. But Jesus and the Holy Spirit are telling us. It's not in form the problem is. The form is a reflection of what you believe. You think you're something other than the Holy Christ. That's the problem. Assuming you have an identity apart from God's perfect love and light. That's the problem, and this movie will help us see that.
