There's no principle in the real world that says if two particles have the same momentum, they will interact in some strong way. The interaction there has nothing to do with whether they're momenta are close to each other. Do you think we will ever be able to spot dark matter given its immense influence? I don't even think that they get preference, to be honest. It's one thing to say I would like to observe something, but there's a lot of real knowledge of how it is done. Real knowledge, right? That you need to learn the hard way by training with someone who knows what they're doing and learning and stuff like that.
