The Effects of Pre-Randomisation on STD Outcomes
There was a difference between the numbers in each site in the intervention group and the control group. We don't feel that had a major impact on the trial. Sites were still asked to identify patients prospectively, though it's obviously easier to identify a patient for a control when there's no intervention to deliver. With regards to the imbalances with pre-randomisation, trixidine, and RV antibiotics, I think that was a secular problem at being in the trial.
