Mormonism was like being locked in a dungeon and then throwing in the key. I didn't really navigate my way out, so much as hack my way through with a sledge hammer. It was by following the second directive that i blasted through the first. And it was actually, ironically, because i had come to believe that there was some metaphysical reality in the universe. So there you go, paradox.
