How to Help Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers in Kent
The royalty for my book is going to the Kent Refugee Action Network. I didn't just want to give the story that what we find at the Kent Coast is a kind of exclusionary form of nationalism and racism obviously that's there. There are examples in the book where people were walking the beaches trying to push back migrants refugees who they saw as invaders. A lot of quite xenophobic Islamophobic and racist stuff yet at the other extreme there are wonderful people who are extending forms of hospitality. K-round the Ken refugee action network I think deserve a real shout out for the work they do at the Kent coast, putting alternative narratives into public eye.
