The Role of Bone Marrow Biopsy in MAS
HLA-Chymase is called that because you see hemophagocytosis in the bone marrow. Children, MAS and HLA are just much more likely to be triggered by infection or things like systemic JA. We often don't do a bone marrow transplant for those patients. Bone marrow biopsy can help identify genetic condition with genetic testing.
