Flight Two Nine Nine Turned Right on X Ray
The sign placement for this intersection is really bad. There's no way they could have seen the sign from there like they would have had to see the sign before they got into the intersection. From the cockpit of flight two nine nine, which is the one that's taking off, the DC nine suddenly appeared on the right side of the airplane in the path of the right wing. The captain shouted moved his body left and turned the yoke to his left as well. Six other fatalities on flight 1482 for total of eight, ten serious injuries and twenty six minor injuries.
