Mexico Is Less Productive Than the US

In terms of labor Mexico obviously has lower level of education for its average worker. That that was a factor it explained about a third of the difference in GDP per capita between the two countries. But total factor productivity explained 60% of the difference between Mexico's per person economic output compared to the US.
