Interviewing Ted Bundy - Can You Take Notes?

There wasant, there was a reporter that had snuck in, and i forget his name. He apparently has a whole bunch of audiotypes, caset types, of this interview. So i don't understand why there would be a stipulation that he couldn't take notes or record it. And even if you couldn't at the time, i would have a notebook outside in the car.
