The Lack of Foresight in the Book of Mormon Translation
Joseph Smith is claiming to translate a lost parchment from John the beloved through his stone. Joseph claims to see the parchment, he's reading off of the literal parchment with a seer slash peep stone. And yet when he revises it, I'm an 1835, the number of words in the revelation go from 143 to 252 words,. which almost doubles the text.
