Migrant Worker Exploration Under the Accredited Employer Visa

The accredited employer work visa was introduced in July last year under then immigration minister Michael Wood. To qualify, employees have to show their business is viable and that a job has been advertised adequately in New Zealand before being filled by a temporary migrant. Immigration adviser Katie Armstrong says they're all getting reports of jobs for money scams. "We are seeing an absolute mushrooming of this," she says.
