She's trying to overcome an objection here, which is if she defines absolutely free liberty as your ability to assess every situation completely and totally with preliminary judgment. She's basically saying, look, obstacle one complexity scale, how do we deal with that? We abstract, we use science, we make progress in science and technology, except with respect to this relationship that Mark mentioned between mind and body. So as she's getting into page 84, we get a new wrinkle. And that's the way this essay will progress."
