"I think that people are finally starting to understand how tuned in black women have always been," she says. "For a very long time, black women have been at the forefront of change and we've just been doing it in the background for a really long time." Black buying power is at an all-time high, but there's still work to be done on creating a safe space where black women can feel safe with everyone else. 'We're not saying this thing over here? Why do you need to push back so hard?' asks LZ Granderson.
Refinery29 began Unbothered as an Instagram channel to celebrate black women.
