We know that those who work night shifts and develop shift work disorder or just happen to work night shifts have worse health outcomes long term. I wonder if that holds true for those who are a very extreme late night chronotype. Has that been studied? It does seem to be that there is some degree of lowered, now it depends on the night shift work. If you're in a night and you're trying to sleep during the day, your sleep is going to be much more of a struggle because we are a nocturnal species.
