Virginia Woolf committed suicide on her honeymoon. Faulkner was a heavy drinker throughout his life and one night she walked out into the sea. Their neighbor ran down and dragged her back onto the beach. So I will never understand the desire to wade into water as a form of suicide. It's terrifying.
