The Role of Radiation Therapy in Breast Cancer
Neo-agivant therapy is good for locally advanced or inoperable tumors. After lumpectomy, whole breast radiation with boost to tumor bed is strongly recommended. For women who have one to three positive tumors, the role of radiation is more likely to fall into the gray zone and will depend on the individual tumor characteristics.
