The Impetus for Writing Our Remote Work Future Is Going to Suck

A few months ago, you wrote an essay with the upbeat title, Our Remote Work Future is Going to Suck. It made it to the top of Hacker News and got picked up by a bunch of influential folks. I just felt like a good grasp on the subject and thought people weren't seeing the whole view. The remote work argument is kind of anti-localist. That's just not a world I want to live in.
