There's another aspect of on boarding that i avoided talking about. You see, although there's a huge effort in the hiring stage, and everyone's super mindful of hiring a person who is the perfect fit for a role,. There are misfits every once in a while. Sometimes it's very surprising. And sometimes the new hire was marked from the beginning as a bet. In both scenarios, the on boarding is there to see if the new joiner seems like a good choice, and if not, to do something about it.
