Alex Spear of the Boston Globe wrote a book about the team three and a half years ago called Homegrown. The Red Sox identity has changed significantly since that book was published. They knew what they knew that they were going to be going in for a period of relatively bumpy change when they fired Dave Tumbrowski last year.
