The Role of God in the Story

God's sovereignty means that God is free to do what he wants in accordance with his character, his purposes and his plans. If God chooses to override the wickedness of humanity to accomplish his good, he has the power to do so. This allows him to remain ultimately in control of the narrative without making him responsible for the evil that people do. But this is not the sermon for today.
