I think that a lot of the stuff that we've created hasn't turned out that great. We have a really powerful new technology and machine learning of something that can find patterns give insights make decisions on our behalf or at least recommendations or suggestions surface information. All software is political it's built with the values of the of the things that we put into it intentionally or unintentionally. I feel culpable in some of the theft of attention that's that's happened in the last decade in terms of my work there.

Josh Clark enlightens us to everything we need to know about the current state of UX in AI. He takes us on an unsettling stroll through uncanny valley. He encourages us to let machines do what they're really good at, and humans do what they're really good at. He guides us into how to begin getting our hands dirty with AI/Machine-Learning. He also articulates how our software/machines are embedded with values, and inspires us (for future's sake) to be intentional about the kinds of values we embed into them.
