Osseus Dressed Up as Hericles to Get the Bow

There are some people who want us to see this ending as odysseus dressed up as heracles, and the end. I don't think that's how sophocles would have originally staged it, but it's such an interesting twist to think about. And i remember my mind being absolutely blown the first time someone pointed out to me that there's no external corroboration for any of the stories that Odysseus tells. His men are all dead. H they are dead. There's no witnesses, there's no evidence, like, we have no reason to think that he tet the cyclops and that any of these things happened,. because he could just make that up.
