The Eighteenth Sensation of Interception

The term interception refers to stimuli that originate inside the body. It comprises sensations coming from things like the gastrointestinal tract, our urinary and reproductive tracts, our circulatory system and respiratory systems. The general point of having this eighth sense or sense of interception is so that we can sense what our body actually needs and help our body maintain homeostasis. So when our bodies out of balance, it's in our best interests for survival to be able to read those cues and then take action to keep our body in a balance helping us to survive.
