CHAPTER

The Moral Component of US Foreign Policy

There's a moral component to US foreign policy but it's not what drives US foreign policy at the end of the day. It's driven by elite interests sometimes national interests and driven by maintaining a certain balance of power favorable to the United States or factions therein. The Ukraine war is very interesting because it's a bit different from those wars in the sense that they're arming another country which is being invaded by another country defend itself so it's kind of interesting how do you navigate that sort of difference?
