He considered becoming a professional pianist but didn't pursue that because he said his fingers were too fat. It's a journey that goes right to the heart of something called the Ratline, the Nazi escape route out of Europe that started in 1945. Along the way we're going to meet an unlikely cast of Nazis, fascists, assassins, spies, sons of spies, lovers, murderers and an elderly man who lives alone in a castle steeped in family secrets.
