Tokenization Is Not Just Encryption
A lot of organizations have kind of fallen into that trap, because tokenization on its surface, it sounds really easy. It's not like encryption. I think most people are smart enough to know that the NSA is probably a little bit better at writing encryption algorithms than your average developer. Without all of that auditing, without strong authentication, a tokenization solution is just putting all of your valuables in one closet.
