How to Put Sulfur Into the Atmosphere
In 1991, a volcano in the Philippines called Mount Pinotubo spewed all these pollutants into the air. The global temperature dropped by 0.5 degrees Celsius. It reduced the amount of sunlight that reaches the earth by somewhere between 1 and 2.5%.
