When I was 17, my father was the president of a place called Brandeis University. The board of trustees were a group of wealthy men who wanted to start a Jewish-sponsored non-sectarian university. None of the board members had ever gone to college. So when I became a professor at Harvard and I looked at the board of trustees or fellows and the president,.
