What Are Glial Cells?
The brain sends and receives chemical and electrical signals throughout the body. Different signals control different processes and your brain interprets each differently. The vast number of neurons in the brain are interneurons, just connected to other neurons. Others send messages out through the spine to the body's muscles to help you move.
