Is It a Buddhist?
Buddha was a mythical figure in Indian society. Historians have been unable to find any records of his life. What we do have are hundreds of illustrative stories about him, preserved initially in oral tradition and written down two or 300 years later. Doctor sarah shaw is an honorary fellow at the oxford centre for buddhist studies. She says: "We can be reasonably certain that er, the sources are roughly correct"
